![]() The father of four retired from the Army in September 2009 after serving 20 years as an Airborne Ranger. He entered Maid Brigade’s Veteran Franchise Giveaway the same month, noting that his life as a leader of infantrymen and that of a quality Maid Brigade franchisee have much in common. Compared to his daunting combat and diplomatic assignments surrounding the efforts to quell sectarian violence and insurgent attacks on Coalition Forces in Iraq, his road to franchise ownership was smooth. Based on leadership, management and interpersonal skills, financial capabilities and behavioral profiles, Major Piaget convinced a panel of judges that he deserved a free Maid Brigade franchise. Valued at more than $45,000, including working capital, equipment, waived franchise fees, training and support, Major Piaget now had everything he needed to establish a franchise operation in his hometown. Four months after winning the Franchise Giveaway contest, Major Piaget opened Emerald Coast’s Maid Brigade on March 15th, 2010. Maid Brigade’s unparalleled training and support helped Major Piaget make the transition from the military into the civilian and business world. From pre-opening to grand opening, he worked side by side a mentor to gain working knowledge of every process and procedure of a successful operation – from personnel management, sales, standard operating procedures, customer care to cleaning. While Major Piaget credits much of his success to Maid Brigade’s training program, he strongly believes his two decades serving in the US Army taught him the work ethic, leadership and discipline necessary to succeed as a business owner. | |
